Caron Curragh - the founder and principal teacher at The Pilates Studio Milton Keynes

"I have been teaching Pilates since February 2000 and am still as passionate about the Method today - or maybe even more so as the more I learn about our minds and bodies the more enthralled I become.  Even though I have been teaching for over 10 years, I continually strive to extend my training and knowledge.  The more I learn, the more I can do for my clients."

Caron has been involved in the world of dance from the age of 7.  This passion lead to studying Laban and Contemporary Dance in London and then onto training with the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing to Associate level.  After 10 years of teaching dance, she decided to train in the Pilates Method with Lynne Robinson and Gordon Thompson of Body Control Pilates.

For the last four years, Caron has been a supervising teacher for Body Control Pilates, nuturing students in their training.

She also works closely with physiotherapists and the other clinical professions.  Courses and workshops for physiotherapists form the core of these relationships.

Since qualifying in Pilates matwork, Caron has gone on to train in the large & small pieces of studio equipment; Pilates in Pregnancy as well as many classes in subjects from Myofascial Release to "Pain and the Brain."

In February 2007, Caron went to Florida to train in the International Instructor Program with Hole In One Pilates - her training being with the program founder Sarah Christensen.  This qualifies her to work with professional & amateur golfers to improve their game.
